Job Description:
OpenVMS 8.X, C, C#, COBOL for platform development
Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Experience in OpenVMS system administration
- User management
- Day-to-day problem and systems management
- Managing Sysman and Sysgen Utilities
- Monitoring and maintaining backups, batch jobs, and reporting
- Managing and controlling job scheduling using schedulers
- Troubleshooting and managing printer queues
- Ensuring systems are configured and maintained for maximum uptime and performance
- Supporting, developing, and implementing change, problem, and incident management processes
- Providing technical assistance for complex and critical issues
- System management tasks including installing and configuring disk drives from controllers and SAN
- Regular review and maintenance of file systems and network access
- Performing proxy maintenance
- Providing technical support and guidance to DBA and support teams
- Performing periodic system maintenance and tuning
- Responding to audit and compliance requests
