Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including Fund Owners, Operations & Compliance teams, IT professionals, to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and gaps. Work with data teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate data ingestion.
- Domain Data Modeling: Understand the Fund owner’s data, analyze data integrity and create foundational domain data model for consumption.
- Functional Documentation: Understand data consumption aspects by different personas, create detailed functional specifications for data consumption, use cases, and user stories to communicate business requirements to development and IT teams.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and collaborate with testing teams to ensure that data changes align with business needs and perform as expected.
- Change Management: Assist in developing change management strategies and training materials to ensure a smooth transition to business.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met, and issues are resolved promptly.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all changes and enhancements to foundational data model and consumption data model are in compliance with UK regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, communicate progress, and address concerns or questions related to the transformation program.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial industry, preferably with exposure to Fund Management / Owner’s domain.
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets data, including reference data, market data, Portfolio data, asset valuation, performance measurement, reconciliation, and Compliance.
- Familiarity with financial instruments and investment strategies is an added advantage.
- BAs should be comfortable working with Power BI & databases.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making. Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and data visualization is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with IT teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
