We are currently looking for a ServiceNow (SNOW) developer in the Operational Risk Controls space. As part of the team, you will contribute to the end-to-end services for the applications, from analysis, requirements, design, configuration, deployment, and operations.
You will bring a broad base of Digital technical knowledge and a strong understanding of software delivery principles. You will be familiar with lifecycle methods, with Agile delivery and the DevOps approach at the core. You will be skilled in the delivery and operation of the technologies you deliver, working as part of multi-disciplinary squads.
This role requires deep technical competence, strong understanding of modern software delivery principles, and proven experience working in Agile and DevOps environments. Support the team providing end-to-end services for the operational risk controls for bp's trading organization.
- 8+ years in designing, building and supporting complex enterprise software systems.
- Expert in ServiceNow backend core development or scripting (business rules, client script, script include, ACLs).
- Expert knowledge on Workspace design and configuration.
- Good knowledge of Risk management configuration and master data.
- Good process knowledge on risk management processes (master data, risk assessment, reporting) as well as integration points with Compliance and audit module/process.
- Able to understand business requirements and build that as technical configuration in the system.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas services environment.
- ServiceNow experiences.
- Agile project management experience delivering IT-led projects.
- Exhibits ownership of projects and tasks assigned.
- Strong team player with customer service orientation with the ability to forge relationships at all levels of the company and across diverse cultures.
Information Security - The selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards.
Service Operations & Resilience - The ability to build and operate services and applications at scale with automation to maintain high levels of availability. To do this, a combination of activities are required from the initial design and sizing of the infrastructure, network, and constituent components to determine throughput (# of transactions/requests, users) through to service health metrics, monitoring, alarming, and remediation.
Source Control & Code Management - The practice of tracking and managing changes to code to help resolve conflicts when merging contributions from multiple sources. This includes the use of best practices such as using pull requests and trunk-based development, running automated testing and static analysis pre-commit, and preventing build breaks through automation/rollbacks.
Testing & Quality Assurance - Measure and maintain a high level of code quality from development through deployment to production. This includes automated and manual testing, including but not limited to unit testing, static analysis, functional testing, UI testing, load testing, chaos testing. Testing should be done throughout the development lifecycle (agile) rather than being reserved to a specific milestone (waterfall).
