Role Title: Production Applications / L2 Support Engineer

Possibility of remote work: Work from office – weekly 3 days (Tues/Wed/Thurs)

Contract duration: 6+ months

Location: London

Important: Candidates must be flexible and comfortable with weekend shift rotations as part of the regular work schedule, with compensation provided through time off in lieu.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams.
  • Interest in working on Support projects and willingness to work during weekend shifts on a rotational basis.
  • Working experience in Java and DB (either Development or Support). Should be comfortable analysing Java code or SQL queries.
  • Good hands-on experience with Splunk usage (no need for Splunk admin knowledge, but good knowledge on querying, regex usage, alerts, and dashboards setup is required).
  • Application log analysis skills and prior experience troubleshooting issues in production environments.
  • ITIL / Ticket / Incident management skills and previous work experience in the same would be considered.
  • Proactive approach to Production issues and notifying the team about ongoing and future predictive issues.
  • Ensure Client SLAs are met - manage deliverables for critical applications by working with Business users and understanding the IT/business SLAs.
  • Collaborate with Dev/L3s on incidents/issue triages and release/change review meetings, as well as identify enhancements for application platform stabilization.
  • Troubleshoot Major Incidents, involving and engaging all necessary teams, create post mortems, and ensure closure of incidents.
