Remote Young Persons Support and Information Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Could you be the difference in a young person's life?

We are looking for a caring and motivated Remote Young Persons Support and Information Practitioner to join our Staffordshire Together for Carers Service on a fixed-term maternity cover contract until October 2027.

Every day, young carers across Staffordshire provide vital support to family members, often balancing caring responsibilities alongside school, friendships, and their own wellbeing. In this rewarding role, you will help young carers feel heard, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Working closely with young people, families, schools, and community organisations, you will provide one-to-one support, help young carers access opportunities, and ensure they receive the right information and guidance when they need it most. You will also play an important role in raising awareness of young carers and promoting their wellbeing.

This role combining home working and community-based support across Staffordshire. While much of your administrative work can be carried out from home, regular travel throughout Staffordshire will be required to meet young people, families, schools, and partner organisations. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential, along with flexibility to occasionally meet young people outside of school hours.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who is passionate about supporting young people. Experience of working with children, young people, or families would be beneficial, although not essential, as full training and development will be provided. Good basic IT skills are desirable, including confidence using Microsoft Office, email, video calls, and case management systems.

At N-Compass, we're proud to be a people-centred organisation where colleagues feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. We offer flexible working opportunities, a strong focus on wellbeing, excellent training and development, and a culture built on kindness, inclusion, and purpose.

Join us and help young carers build confidence, improve their wellbeing, access new opportunities, and achieve their goals.

Fixed term maternity cover until Octover 2027.
