Join our CHAT Line volunteers and provide a vital lifeline to unpaid carers who desperately need someone to listen. Your voice could be the support that transforms someone's day and wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support unpaid carers through our telephone helpline service in two ways:
- Outgoing calls: Provide regular weekly befriending support, offering a listening ear and social contact to carers
- Incoming calls: Be available on our 24/7 helpline to provide emotional support and a listening ear to carers who call for help
Both services offer carers the social contact and emotional support they need. You'll make a huge difference to their health and wellbeing whilst gaining a rewarding volunteer experience.
Who We're Looking For
We welcome volunteers from all ages and backgrounds. You'll need compassion, good listening skills, and the commitment to support carers who rely on this vital service.
