As a Carers Information & Support Officer, you'll be a trusted source of support, guidance and encouragement for unpaid Carers. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You could be meeting with a Carer in their local community, helping them develop a support plan, facilitating a support group, delivering Carer awareness sessions, or connecting people with services that can make life a little easier.

You'll help Carers to:

  • Access information, advice and practical support
  • Connect with local services, community resources and peer support
  • Navigate health, social care and statutory services
  • Develop contingency and future care plans
  • Improve their wellbeing and resilience whilst continuing in their caring role
  • Feel recognised, valued and less alone

  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard office hours
  • A commitment to safeguarding and delivering high-quality support
  • An Enhanced DBS check (required for the successful applicant)
