Can you support unpaid Carers by assessing their needs? N-compass are looking to recruit a Carers Information & Support Officer as part of Staffordshire Together for Carers Service team, who will benefit from joining a busy and dynamic team in a working from home environment. The role is to cover the Staffordshire area, and proactively identify Carers, provide them with information, advice and support including supporting them to access services, peer support and short break opportunities in order to reduce the impact of their caring role. Use of a vehicle to travel regularly throughout the Staffordshire area is essential for this role.

About you

We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting unpaid Carers to reduce the impacts of their caring role by providing professional and quality support. We are looking for people with:

  • the ability to listen and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals;
  • experience of sensitively discussing and gathering information from people who want to access support;
  • the ability to provide individualised 1-1 support to adults.

Most importantly, we are looking for people who are highly motivated, hardworking, flexible and who really want to make a difference.
