The role involves contributing to the delivery of the Ecommerce strategy, achieving online demand targets and customer/visitor conversion targets for our brands. A day in the life of an Ecommerce Assistant includes:
- Implementation and review of the Trading plan to contribute to the delivery of the demand targets for the website/app and product categories.
- Support in briefing and signing off creative to deliver the seasonal trading programme for the website/app home page and other promotional pages and campaigns.
- Proactively ensure that the website/app are free of snags and issues, making suggestions for improved user experience and drive process to prevent issues.
- Support in the analysis of the online demand and conversion activity and metrics, including completion of all required weekly and ad hoc reports.
- Supporting the Ecommerce Executive through working cross-functionally with the digital and email teams to ensure that objectives are being met and conversion opportunities are being optimised.
- Implementing category product plans and activity, working closely with the Buying & Merchandising teams.
What skills and experience will you have?
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, work to deadlines and reprioritise where necessary.
- Good analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and great attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively, an excellent team player, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
- Curious about the world of ecommerce, demonstrating knowledge of the customer, the market, technology and competition, good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- We’re looking for a motivated and commercially aware individual with a passion for retail and ecommerce.
- Ideally, you’ll be a Graduate with a Marketing or related degree and some experience of working on marketing campaigns and projects, gained within a retail business.
