We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Print Designer to join our dynamic design team. This role supports the development of innovative and commercially relevant print designs across multiple categories, including home textiles, womenswear, lingerie, nightwear, and swimwear. Working closely with the Senior Print Designer and the wider design team, you will help translate seasonal trends into original prints and patterns, contributing to collections from concept through to final production. The role also involves liaising with suppliers and factories, preparing and sending out artworks, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the print team. This includes prepping for meetings, handling print team administration, and confidently presenting design work and ideas when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Print Designer and wider design team to develop cohesive seasonal print stories
  • Assist in the creation of original print designs, repeats, and colorways across all product categories
  • Support trend research and mood board development for seasonal collections
  • Adapt and recolor existing artworks to suit different fabrics and product types
  • Prepare print-ready files, ensuring accuracy in scale, color, and repeat
  • Collaborate with designers, buyers, and product developers across departments
  • Maintain an organized digital archive of artwork and design assets
  • Assist in developing placement prints and engineered designs for garments
  • Ensure all designs align with brand identity and commercial direction

Skills & Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating print design across fashion or home categories
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator essential)
  • Understanding of repeat patterns, color separation, and textile processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • A good eye for color, composition, and emerging trends
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team

Desirable

  • Experience in Print design / Printed textiles and print production
  • Experience in womenswear, lingerie, nightwear, swimwear, or home textiles
  • Knowledge of fabric types, printing techniques, and garment construction
  • Experience working in a fast-paced fashion environment
