Operations Support and Data Control Lead
We’re looking for an Operations Support and Data Control Lead to join our Supply Chain Operations team at N Brown Group. You’ll extract a variety of data and produce reports that support the operational management team to continually drive improvements.
This role includes reviewing day-to-day operational processing activity as well as areas such as Holidays / Absence, and building clear outlines of challenges and opportunities to improve within each domain. You’ll collaborate with teams to deliver month-end reporting and other targets, ensuring clear action plans and accountability to drive improvements.
You will support the wider management team in standardising core reports used for planning / daily controls and management of workflows including volume and hours, using the data to map progress and drive improvements.
What will you do as Operations Support and Data Control Lead at N Brown?
- Manage multiple stakeholders and lead the Operational data Processes and controls.
- Support operational management with overall reporting accuracy and improvement to drive single-source reporting and document usage (standardisation).
- Develop / adapt manpower reporting such as Budget / In-week labour reporting and volumes to build an integrated day / week / monthly operational overview report.
- Work to transfer all reporting so core operating reporting is via the Supply Chain MI platform (reduce reliance on Excel).
- Centralise all MI / data requests from the operational team; triage / support internal – MI central team development and delivery.
- Reduce waste by conducting regular housekeeping reviews of reporting tools and platforms, eliminating duplication and simplifying data presented.
- Lead reviews with the Logistics MI team to enable a one-stop solution for all operational data, highlighting core challenges and opportunities.
- Support weekly generation of ER reports and assist the monthly payroll process, driving accuracy and simplifying reporting.
- Manage the central repository of reports for ease of access, with clear outlines of reports, dates generated, usage and review cadence.
- Set up working parties across shifts / departments to review usage / accuracy and drive improvements.
- Model core behaviours and be an advocate for our culture, driving colleague engagement and keeping up to date with business communications and benefits.
- Identify process improvements and support implementation through the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement team “The Ideas Hub”.
What skills and experience will you have?
- Ability to work independently or in a group environment.
- Experience in Supply Chain processes (preferred but not essential).
- Data analysis experience.
- Good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to manage end-to-end deliverables and accountability.
- Open and honest communication with colleagues at all levels.
- Strong numerical and verbal skills; proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office and Power BI; logistics operational experience.

Ways of Working
This role is based at our Distribution Centre in Shaw, Oldham. The working hours are 38.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with free colleague parking and convenient transit access.
