We are looking to hire a Director of Program Management in our Edinburgh hub who leads and manages a team of Program Managers to ensure the successful execution of programs and projects for the Operations Organisation. This is a permanent full-time role requiring 3 days a week in the Edinburgh office.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for the project delivery of a portfolio of products and services managed by multiple DevOps and Operations teams.
- Drives strategic initiatives.
- Accountable for the management of the DevOps project portfolio, including reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Defines key metrics, KPIs and internal standardisation initiatives across the entire portfolio of products, services and teams.
- Lead, motivate, mentor and support program management reports and functional staff.
- Develops a deep understanding of all supported products and services.
- Collaborate with PMO, Corporate, Product, Engineering, Architecture, BizApps, Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance and Support to ensure alignment of strategy, resources, dependencies and priorities.
- Develops a strong understanding of team, functional and company-wide workflows.
- Owns the definition and implementation of process change across the portfolio of products, services and teams.
- Own ad hoc projects and initiatives that may span multiple functions, products and business units, working with PMO and other functional leaders as required.
- Assist with the coordination of compliance programs (GDPR, ISO27001, SOX).
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive proven experience working in a Project, Program or Portfolio Management role in an enterprise technical environment.
- Ideally several years experience managing managers.
- A strong security mindset and understanding of compliance programs (GDPR, ISO27001, SOX).
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address issues and conflicts that may arise during program execution.
- Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple programs simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills to drive program success.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles and project management methodologies.
- Exercises independent judgment and can lead with influence and without direct authority.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office applications.
