With the growth of AI usage inside the company, the importance of having a strong focus on our internal applications, process and data has led us to desire a proven CIO (Chief Information Officer) to help support the technology platforms we need to support our continued growth, compliance and innovation. The CIO will report to the CTPO (Chief Technology and Product Officer) and oversee our enterprise technology strategy including internal applications, data governance, and internal AI deployment across N-able.

This job requires a candidate who is both a technologist familiar with implementing critical business systems such as billing platforms, Salesforce, NetSuite, Data Warehousing technologies, and other business applications and who can navigate across business functions as these technologies support product, finance, customer success, customer support, marketing and other internal functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Directly oversee the strategy, architecture, portfolio management, and data governance and management teams for all internal business applications.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Sales and Support leadership, developing and optimizing the systems these teams use to interact with customers, ensuring seamless customer engagement and support experiences.
  • Collaborate directly with the CFO and accounting/finance organizations to deliver accurate product data, streamline revenue recognition, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
  • Partner closely with the Product organization to shape the end‑to‑end customer journey, including trial sign‑up forms, customer billing portals, common identity and user experience, and API integrations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration across all business units, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with organizational goals and deliver measurable business value.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of internal business applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency.
  • Lead strategic planning, architectural design, and resource management for enterprise systems, including lead management, quoting, revenue recognition, and product provisioning.
  • Drive best practices in solution implementation, integration, and ongoing support, leveraging agile methodologies and modern technology stacks.
  • Champion enterprise‑wide Data Governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Establish and lead AI governance frameworks, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enable responsible and scalable AI adoption.
  • Monitor data lineage, ethics, and security, providing oversight for high‑impact, enterprise‑level AI initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience as CIO or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in developing and managing enterprise systems, with direct involvement in lead management, quoting, revenue recognition, and product provisioning.
  • In‑depth knowledge of technology components, products and software at both the infrastructure (On‑Premise, Hybrid, Cloud, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and functionality (CRM, ERP, etc.) levels.
  • The successful candidate must be a positive and energetic leader who is agile and flexible, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to and operate effectively in new, dynamic, and high‑growth environments.
  • Experience working for a SaaS or cybersecurity company is strongly preferred.
  • A good listener with the ability and willingness to understand first, and then be understood by others within the organization.
  • Strong relationship builder with the demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to drive operational efficiency and long‑term strategy.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and audit processes.
  • Ability to manage large, geographically dispersed teams and create high performing organizations.
  • Ability to budget and forecast effectively.
  • Experience presenting to the board and other company executives.
  • Experience with implementing key technology stacks including NetSuite, Billing Platform, Boomi, Salesforce, Snowflake and other business applications.
  • Experience with building and managing SaaS applications in a technology‑driven organization.
