This is a dual-core role combining two equally important skill sets: building and optimising in-app experiences using Pendo, and analysing data to drive continuous improvement. We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable interpreting usage metrics and building dashboards as they are configuring in-app guides and QA’ing messages. While the role uses HTML and CSS, this is not a product UI engineering role — development work is focused on styling, configuring, quality‑assuring, and enhancing in-app messages and guides.
What You'll Do
- In-App Experience
- Build, configure, and maintain in-app guides and messages (onboarding, feature education, tooltips, banners, surveys) using Pendo.
- Use HTML and CSS to customise the look, feel, and behaviour of in-app experiences.
- QA and validate in-app messages and guides to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality before release.
- Iterate on in-app experiences based on data, experimentation, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, Analytics, and Engineering teams to align in-app experiences with product goals.
- Data & Analytics
- Analyse data and usage metrics to measure the effectiveness of in-app experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create dashboards and reports to track engagement, feature adoption, and outcomes of in-app messages and guides.
- Translate data insights into concrete recommendations and improvements across the in-app experience.
- Partner with the Product and Analytics teams to define and track KPIs for in-app engagement and adoption.
What You'll Bring
- Track 1 — In-App Experience & Development
- Experience building in-app guides, messages, or digital adoption experiences, ideally using Pendo or a similar platform.
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS; ability to customise, style, and QA in-app messages to a high standard.
- Strong understanding of user workflows, user journeys, and customer‑centric design.
- Experience working in a Product‑Led Growth (PLG) environment where in‑product experiences support onboarding, adoption, cross‑sell, and engagement.
- Track 2 — Data Analysis & Reporting
- Strong analytics mindset — comfortable working with data, interpreting metrics, and translating insights into concrete actions.
- Hands‑on experience using analytics and reporting tools to evaluate product or in‑app experience effectiveness.
- Proven ability to build dashboards and reports that track engagement, adoption, and product KPIs.
- Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally with Product, UX, Analytics, and Engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working; understanding of Scrum practices is beneficial as the team continues to evolve its delivery model.
Nice To Have
- Experience with AI tools or AI‑assisted development (e.g. using AI to analyse data, generate content, or enhance in‑app experiences).
- Familiarity with SaaS product metrics such as engagement, feature adoption, or retention.
- Experience working in SaaS or B2B product organisations.
- Experience working with distributed or global teams.
- Light JavaScript knowledge for customising or enhancing in‑app experiences.
