A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded and experienced Management Accountant / Senior Accounts Assistant to join a thriving UK hospitality group employing circa 500 employees across 10+ locations nationally, headquartered in Bournemouth. Working within a collaborative finance team and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the day to day running of the accounts, delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring robust controls, and providing commercial insights that support operational teams in driving performance and guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and own monthly management accounts for multiple hospitality sites.
- Deliver variance analysis and insightful commentary to multi site managers.
- Analyse labour productivity, revenue mix, cost of sales, and margin drivers.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting for the site portfolios.
- Oversee end-to-end multi-site payroll processes.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and manage other statutory submissions.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Accounts Manager / Administrator / Management Accountant.
- Strong month-end, reporting, and payroll experience.
- Strong Excel and system skills.
- A confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Desirable
- Part or fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
- Experience in the hospitality, leisure, or retail sectors.
