We are seeking an experienced property lawyer to join our established and highly regarded Private Client team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and colleagues advising on a wide range of high‑quality residential and rural property transactions. This is not a volume conveyancing role. The focus is on providing a meticulous, bespoke service to clients, many of whom have significant rural and landed interests. Matters range from the sale and purchase of substantial country houses and farming estates through to smaller parcels of agricultural land and individual fields.

You will work as part of a close‑knit team advising on:

  • Sales and purchases of country houses, farms and rural estates, including high‑value and complex transactions.
  • Acquisitions and disposals of agricultural land, from significant holdings to single fields, often with associated rights, access and land use issues.
  • General agricultural issues – farm business tenancy agreements, contract farming agreements etc.

You will be closely supported by partners and colleagues and will be encouraged to take an active role in the day‑to‑day life and development of the team. This role is specifically designed for a lawyer with an eye on the future.

We offer:

  • Path to Partnership: A transparent framework for progression from Associate to Senior Associate and beyond.
  • Direct Partner Access: Work daily with senior leaders, gaining the high‑level experience necessary for top‑tier career advancement.

About You

  • Experience: You are a qualified Solicitor (typically 3+ years PQE) with a robust background in residential conveyancing.
  • Agricultural Interest: Proven interest and (ideally) experience in agricultural and rural property matters.
  • Relationship Builder: You thrive when working with discerning clients who expect a premium and detail‑oriented service.
  • Ambitious: You are looking for more than just a job; you want a role where you can contribute to business development and team expansion.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible Working: Hybrid options to support your work‑life balance and a supportive, collegiate culture.
  • Elite Caseload: Exposure to a diverse and interesting caseload, from major estates to smaller land transactions.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Including a competitive salary, bonus scheme, private healthcare, and life assurance.

You’ll spend at least 60% of your working week in the office, though we know there is no one‑size‑fits‑all and arrangements may vary from role to role. Our strong culture is founded on working together in the office, which we aim to maintain through our people being regularly co‑located, working cohesively and in collaboration with one another.
