Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses. At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well-supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 26 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
About the role
We’re looking for compassionate, excellent communicators to join our Coventry and Warwick Inpatient Unit teams and help us to provide high quality, holistic, palliative care. Our Nursing Assistants:
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver care;
- Assist patients with the activities of daily living and with their care after death;
- Communicate with colleagues, volunteers, patients and their families and friends;
- Handle bereavement issues with sensitivity and compassion;
- Carry out a range of essential activities, including preparing beds for admissions, transferring patients, and cleaning equipment.
In this role, you’ll directly support the provision of our much-needed Inpatient Services. We have bank positions available in both our Coventry and Warwick Hospices.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience of hospital or hospice nursing
- NVQ level 1 or equivalent
- Understanding of safeguarding and food hygiene
- Basic IT skills
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot support with sponsorship)
Other roles you may have experience of could include: Healthcare Assistant; Health Care Assistant. We will carry out an enhanced DBS check including the adults’ barred list because you will be providing adult healthcare, which is a regulated activity. We will cover the cost of this check.
