Are you passionate about animal welfare and keen to help shape the future of sustainable egg production in the UK? We are looking for a confident and knowledgeable Poultry Performance and Compliance Lead - Eggs to act as the guardian of welfare, quality, and compliance standards across our network of egg producers and through to our packing centre at Chippindale Foods, part of Myton Food Group. In this role, you will be the face of our technical standards on farms, building strong relationships with egg producers, supporting high standards of bird health and egg quality, and ensuring our supply chain reflects the values we are known for. You will work in a hybrid capacity between our packing centre and our producer base, developing close working relationships with the packing centre team to support the end-to-end process of egg production, grading, and packing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting producers with expert advice on flock health, welfare, biosecurity, and sustainability
- Working alongside agriculture, operations, and technical teams to ensure laying hen facilities meet the highest standards, including Lion Code and RSPCA Assured, both on farm and within the packing centre
- Planning and delivering regular audits, identifying risks, and working with the wider business to resolve issues
- Collaborating with operations, transport, and technical teams to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain, including flock performance and production grading
- Maintaining clear and accurate records of audit activity and compliance levels
- Using systems such as Eggbase to manage flock data and support operational planning
- Onboarding new producers, ensuring they understand and meet required standards
- Representing the business at industry events and meetings, helping the company stay ahead of industry developments

- Experience in auditing or compliance assessment within an agricultural setting (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to manage your own workload proactively, work collaboratively as part of a team, and solve problems independently
- Confidence using digital tools and systems to support the wider business (e.g. Eggbase)
- A full UK driving licence, as the role involves regular field-based travel
- Previous experience in commercial egg production or poultry farming
