We are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer – Field‑Based to join our team, supporting manufacturing sites across the UK. This field‑based role requires travelling across the UK, daily site visits, and a full UK driving licence. The role reports to the Group Automation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Implement and optimise automation solutions across multiple sites.
- Drive installation, commissioning and maintenance of field process equipment, including fault diagnosis when required.
- Collaborate with site and central engineering teams to deliver innovative engineering changes that align with sustainability and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in implementing network and control systems.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and improvement.
- Willingness to travel across multiple sites.
- Technical qualifications and electrical competence at a minimum NVQ Level 2 / BTEC Engineering certificate or equivalent.
- Broad knowledge of electrical and PLC/inverter assets, network systems and integration.
- Strong experience in ensuring safe working and safe systems of work are utilised and followed.
- Ability to engage positively with engineering management to conduct site infrastructure installations and maintenance.
