Job Type: Part Time - 10 hours per week (Various Hours Available: Tuesday 16:00 - 19:30, Wednesday 15:00 - 19:00, Friday 13:30 - 15:00, Saturday 09:30 - 12:30)

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, safe, and structured swimming lessons to individuals and groups to improve their swimming techniques!

Key Duties

  • To ensure an enjoyable and efficient delivery of the 'Learn to Swim' Programme (L2S), teaching to a wide range of ages and abilities and encourage them to maintain participation and progression through effective planning, organisation and coaching.
  • Provide clear and positive instruction to help swimmers improve their technique and build confidence in the water
  • To ensure that participants achieve all the outcomes at each individual stage, regularly assess each participants ability and development and trigger movements of all participants who are ready to progress up
  • Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to both swimmers and parents
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to keep lessons engaging and interactive, including games, drills, and exercises.
  • To ensure an enjoyable and efficient delivery of a fun session to a wide range of ages and abilities
  • Deliver 1-2-1 swim lessons with swimmers of all ages.

Role Requirements

  • Swim England / SEQ Level 2 Full Swim Instructor Qualification
  • Knowledge of legal swim requirements, swimming strokes and teaching levels.
  • Experience of Aquatic teaching in groups of mixed ages and abilities in a pool or leisure environment.

Desirable

  • National rescue award for swimming teachers and coaches (NRASTC)
