Key Duties:

  • Supervise the team of technicians, offering support and guidance to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
  • Support the team to respond promptly and positively to service call requests received from the CAFM system, to assess the requirements of the job and conduct repairs as and where necessary and update the CAFM system
  • Prioritise fabric/electrical/mechanical maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement
  • Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date
  • Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site
  • Conduct minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence and in accordance with current specifications, or support the technicians in completing this if within their qualified skillset

Role requirements:

  • Apprenticeship or qualification in Building Fabric, Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing City & Guilds or Equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous building maintenance experience with fabric, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing qualifications
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, including risk assessments, permits to work and COSHH
  • An understanding and appreciation of the needs of Facility Management to enable them to provide the best possible service to our customers
