Key Duties:
- To co-ordinate the swimming lesson programme and waiting lists for courses, liaising with centre management and Swimming Instructors as appropriate
- To monitor uptake of swimming lessons, keeping records continuously up to date and report on progress regularly to the Centre Manager
- Carry out line management responsibilities for all Swimming Instructors i.e. managing sickness, absence, timesheets for payroll and 1-2-1's
- To assist in the recruitment of swimming instructors, manage their work programme ensuring instructors are continually assessing swimmers and progressing as appropriate, hold regular meetings, process timesheets and ensure qualifications are up to date
- To oversee any special pool events or programmes, ensuring an evaluation report is produced following the event
- To ensure all aspects of the course programmes adhere to Health & Safety Codes of Practice and Regulations
Role requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience of swim teaching
- ASA Teaching Aquatics Level 2 qualification
- Ability to motivate and manage a team of swimming instructors
Desirable:
- Proven experience in successfully developing and implementing programmes to meet business objectives
- National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and coaches or NPLQ
