Job Type: Flexible hours (must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays)
Key Duties:
- Maintain vigilant supervision of pool users to ensure their safety
- Attend staff training for the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Administer first aid, perform pool rescues, and apply resuscitation as necessary
- Deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring high customer satisfaction and meeting Customer Service Standards
- Comply with Health and Safety procedures, carry out inspections, and report maintenance issues
- Carry out cleaning duties to high standards
- Set up and dismantle activity areas and store equipment safely
- Perform pool water quality and environmental tests, including spa tests if necessary
- Attend team meetings and provide feedback on operational issues
Role requirements:
- Ability to swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds and 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water, plus tread water for 30 seconds
- NPLQ is desirable, but training and qualification can be provided for suitable candidates
