Duty Manager: responsible for overseeing daily operations of our leisure or golf site. The role requires a hands‑on approach, leadership skills, and the ability to handle day‑to‑day challenges efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Centre Manager in managing the daily operation of the facilities and the organisation of activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff whilst on duty, taking responsibility for day‑to‑day operations of the team.
  • Assist with the organisation of all activities, groups and events/special programmes administered by the Centre.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of income/attendance, providing full audit and transaction records.
  • Ensure attendance at weekly and monthly site sales meetings for feedback, direction and training.
  • Monitor Pool Plant and equipment in liaison with the technical team, taking corrective action to meet swimming pool and facilities environmental standards.
  • Takes responsibility for technical liaison, maintenance defects, cleaning programmes and logs any issues.
  • Close or open the department when on the relevant shift, in accordance with departmental opening procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least two years experience of working in a customer service environment.
  • Desirable: NPLQ qualification.
  • Desirable: Pool Plant qualification.
  • Desirable: First Aid certificate.
  • Desirable: Health and Safety (IOSH, NEBOSH), proof of attainment of qualifications.
  • Evidence of your right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Successful completion of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if needed for the role.
