Job Type: Permanent (40 hours including evenings and weekends)

As our Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our leisure site, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, from customer service to site management. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team and optimising the operational efficiency of our site through supporting our Duty Managers.

Key Duties:

  • Manage the daily operations of the leisure / golf site
  • Oversee scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage during peak times
  • Staff management – recruitment, training, development, absence management, staff 1-2-1, competency framework, timesheets
  • Step in to cover Duty Manager shifts as needed to ensure smooth operations and address any staffing shortages, in line with business requirements
  • Manage, develop and co-ordinate staff resources effectively to meet all operational requirements
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish and achieve long-term business goals
  • Build and maintain a sound organisational structure, recruiting, training and motivating staff

Role requirements:

  • Will have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or a related subject preferably to degree level or NVQ 4
  • A good knowledge of leisure and running/operation of leisure site
  • NPLQ & PPO qualification
