If so, we're looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering engaging, safe, and structured swimming lessons to individuals and groups to improve their swimming techniques.
Responsibilities
- To ensure an enjoyable and efficient delivery of the 'Learn to Swim' Programme (L2S), teaching to a wide range of ages and abilities and encourage them to maintain participation and progression through effective planning, organisation and coaching.
- Provide clear and positive instruction to help swimmers improve their technique and build confidence in the water.
- To ensure that participants achieve all the outcomes at each individual stage, regularly assess each participant's ability and development and trigger movements of all participants who are ready to progress up.
- Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to both swimmers and parents.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to keep lessons engaging and interactive, including games, drills, and exercises.
- Deliver 1-2-1 swim lessons with swimmers of all ages.
Qualifications
- Swim England / SEQ Level 2 Full Swim Instructor Qualification.
- Knowledge of legal swim requirements, swimming strokes and teaching levels.
- Experience of Aquatic teaching in groups of mixed ages and abilities in a pool or leisure environment.
Desirable Requirements
- National rescue award for swimming teachers and coaches (NRASTC).
- Proof of attainment of qualifications.
- Evidence of your right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if needed for the role.
