Position Apprentice Greenkeeper – Apprenticeship Level 2 Golf Greenkeeping
Location: Orpington Golf Centre, Cray Ruxley, Sandy Ln, Orpington BR5 3HY
Salary: £23,795.20 p.a. Plus Benefits
Job Type: Full time 40hrs Fixed term (until end of apprenticeship)

We are looking for an Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our team and help maintain our golf course to the highest standards. You will be initially working on basic Greenkeeping duties, and slowly gain experience in all machinery and equipment.
Eligibility:
- UK/EU Resident for 3 years
- Not currently a student in funded learning
- Hasn’t completed a similar qualification at same level or above
- GCSE in Maths and English
- Candidates will need to meet the eligibility criterion of the apprenticeship provider for the relevant course.
During the course of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will focus on work -based learning, carry out self-study, attend virtual classrooms and complete practice assignments. At the end of the apprenticeship, the individual will undertake End Point Assessment to evaluate skills, knowledge and behaviour against the apprenticeship standard. The apprentice will enroll with an apprenticeship provider.
You will be required to work in all weather- early morning work will be required.
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have acquired the necessary skills to maintain playing surfaces and work as part of a team that maintains the golf course. This includes implementing the maintenance, care and overall appearance of a golf course in line with the employer’s requirements and playing standards.
