b Overview /b p As Operations Delivery Manager – Grid, you will lead end-to-end grid connection projects for Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems, spanning design to handover. You’ll direct multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with DNOs/TSOs/NESO, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of HV/MV/LV infrastructure. This senior role drives Grid Project Management excellence across our UK Grid unit and supports METLENs energy-transition ambitions. You’ll shape how we scale grid capabilities and deliver high-value renewable projects. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary /li li comprehensive benefits package /li li professional development /li li long-term career progression /li li collaborative, high-performing team /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead grid connections delivery for 11kV–132kV (up to 400kV where applicable) for Solar PV and BESS projects /li li Coordinate design teams and submissions to DNOs, TSOs, and NESO /li li Oversee procurement alignment for timely equipment ordering and delivery /li li Manage construction delivery including civil works, substations, cabling, switchgear, transformers and protection systems /li li Lead commissioning, testing, protection validation, energisation and handover /li li Oversee PGMD/ONCC submissions to DNOs/NESO /li li Lead multidisciplinary site teams and coordinate between civil and electrical works /li li Provide operational leadership across Grid PM, Technical Design, and Site Delivery /li li Ensure resource allocation across multiple renewable projects /li li Build and manage subcontractor network; support tendering and contract approvals /li li Collaborate with HSE, Legal and central functions to ensure delivery and compliance /li li Ensure compliance with DNO standards, NERS accreditation, and CDM regulations /li li Interface with clients, DNOs/TSOs, subcontractors and local authorities /li li Ensure projects meet programme, budget, design and quality requirements /li li Support tender submissions and project mobilisation /li li Drive process improvements and support growth of Grid delivery capabilities /li li Contribute to strategic planning for transmission and wider grid projects /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline /li li Experience in ICP or utility construction delivery, preferably renewables /li li Proven civil and electrical construction delivery on infrastructure projects /li li Experience delivering HV installations 11kV–132kV /li li Experience delivering LV/MV/HV connection designs 11kV–132kV /li li Understanding of NERS accreditation, CDM Regulations, DNO standards /li li Experience leading multi-site construction teams and complex projects /li li Ability to manage and develop Project Managers and Site Teams /li li Strong technical, construction and operational leadership /li li Understanding of grid constraints and high-value project commercial awareness /li li Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills /li li Proactive, accountable, solutions-focused project delivery /li /ul ul li Stakeholder management /li li Communication /li li Negotiation /li li HV/MV/LV electrical infrastructure delivery /li li Grid connection design 11kV–132kV /li li DNO/TSO/NESO coordination /li /ul
