Overview
As Senior Project Development Manager, you will help scale METLEN’s energy infrastructure pipeline across the UK and Ireland, from early-stage opportunity assessment through development and sale.
You will lead a London-based team, coordinate across EPC, Grid, Legal and Finance, and manage multiple solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.
The role blends strategic development, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement to drive the renewable portfolio.
You’ll operate in a fast-moving, global industrial energy company focused on sustainable, tech-driven growth.

Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Project Development in implementing the UK and Ireland development strategy
- Lead and mentor the London project development team
- Manage development of multiple Solar PV and BESS projects
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with timelines
- Participate in buy-side due diligence for potential acquisitions
- Support sell-side transactions with internal teams and external advisers
- Coordinate with EPC, Grid, Legal, Finance and other internal departments
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
- Support local development partners and coordinate through the project lifecycle
- Monitor energy market, regulatory environment and policy developments
- Provide regular updates on status, milestones, risks, and opportunities to senior management
- Key requirements
- 10+ years of infrastructure project development experience with Solar PV and BESS exposure
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy development lifecycle from early-stage to delivery
- Experience coordinating cross-functional project teams and multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting or participating in M&A, buy-side due diligence and/or sell-side transactions
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland
