We are currently looking for a Project Planner to join our UK team, within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division of METLEN Energy & Metals.

This is a UK‑wide search, and we welcome applications from suitable candidates based across the country.

This role plays a key part in supporting the successful planning, scheduling, and control of complex energy infrastructure projects, ensuring visibility of progress, risks, and performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Your role will encompass: Following EPC projects from the proposal phase (developing baseline schedules) through to the execution phase, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.

Developing and managing detailed project schedules, goals, and objectives.

Ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of project milestones, deadlines, and progress.

Documenting project planning processes and changes, maintaining accurate records for future reference.

Obtaining, reviewing, and approving detailed time schedules and WBS from subcontractors, partners, and suppliers, and integrating them into the project master schedule.

Monitoring activities and managing the performance of the construction effort against the approved plan.

Maintaining robust version control and records of schedule changes and related documentation.

Timely highlighting deviations from plan to the project management team and proposing corrective actions.

Creating and monitoring KPIs to support achievement of the project plan.

Generating and providing performance status reports, milestone reports, graphs, and charts for internal and external reporting and decision‑making.

Resource‑loading and cost‑loading schedules and working closely with the Cost Controller to monitor cost progress and deviations.

What you bring to the role:2+ years of experience in a similar planning role, with responsibility for time‑schedule creation.

Experience using Primavera P6 or relevant site‑based planning experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Professional certification in Project Management will be considered an asset.

Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong team spirit and a proactive mindset.

Technical understanding of power and energy projects.
