Mythwright is a new games publisher, established by industry veterans with a proven track record of delivering successful titles. Our focus is on Steam, where we are curating a portfolio of Simulation, Management, Strategy, and adjacent niche games designed for passionate, highly engaged player communities. In this role, the Senior External Producer will play a critical part in ensuring Mythwright releases a portfolio of high‐quality titles. You will manage cross‐functional projects across multiple platforms, working closely with external and internal development partners to deliver games that meet creative, commercial, and quality expectations for our diverse global audience. You will act as a trusted production partner providing structure, visibility, and support while balancing creative ambition with practical delivery constraints. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to operate confidently across multiple projects at different stages of development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with our Development Partners: build and maintain strong, productive relationships with external partners; ensure alignment across creative vision, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Success looks like (Partners): Working with partners to understand scope, plans, resourcing, and milestones. Defining clear production frameworks, milestones, and reporting structures. Identifying blockers, dependencies, and risks early and proactively. Advising on planning, prioritisation, and execution while respecting partner autonomy. Owning budget and schedule tracking, and clearly communicating changes and risks. Acting as the primary escalation point and driving timely, constructive resolution.
  • Success looks like (Monitoring Project Progress): Maintaining schedules, milestone plans, and delivery forecasts. Producing clear status reports, presentations, and post‐mortems as needed. Reviewing progress against milestones, quality bars, and business goals. Ensuring our partners have clear priorities and actionable next steps. Identifying scope, resourcing, and timeline risks early. Facilitating regular check‐ins, milestone reviews, and retrospectives. Facilitating efficient cross‐discipline workflows internally. Keeping production data accurate, current, and accessible. Supporting decision making through clear risk and trade‐off analysis.
  • Success looks like (Release Management Oversight): Coordinating release plans across development, QA, localisation, marketing and platform holders. Ensuring platform requirements, compliance, and submission timelines are met. Taking point on all platform holder / storefront submissions. Identifying and managing risks related to certification, localisation and performance. Supporting go‐to‐market readiness by liaising with publishing and marketing teams. Overseeing post‐launch plans, including patches, updates, and any live support. Capturing post‐launch learnings to improve future releases.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and confident senior producer who thrives in complex, collaborative environments and is comfortable balancing creative ambition with practical delivery realities. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organisational and leadership capabilities, a diverse production skill set, and a strong desire to solve problems collaboratively. You are proactive, adaptable, and solution‐oriented, with the ability to guide multiple projects forward without losing sight of detail or quality. You will succeed in this role if you bring:

  • Proven experience as a producer in game development or publishing.
  • Experience working with external studios across multiple projects and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the full game development lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environments.
  • Experience handling first‐party submissions.
  • Genuine passion for playing and understanding video games, especially the genres we specialise in.
  • High proficiency with industry standard production tools, workflows, and documentation.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build trust and influence across teams.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data literacy and experience supporting informed decision making.
  • Experience across PC and Console, with mobile experience a real bonus.
