About the service: We are looking for Carer/Support Worker to join an experienced staff team in Partington. The job role will be 35 hours per week, working 5 days out of a 7 day rota. We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality personal care and support to residents
- Completing cleaning duties and maintaining a safe, tidy environment
- Supporting with food preparation (including vegetable preparation)
- Carrying out health and safety checks throughout the day
- Accurately recording care notes using electronic systems
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Providing personal care and support
- Administering medication
- Supporting with gastro feeding
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Supporting community access and promoting independence
This is an active role, and applicants should be comfortable spending much of their shift out in the community, supporting an individual to access activities, appointments, and social opportunities. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys being on the go and engaging with people.
A flexible approach to working hours and days is required, along with a caring, compassionate, professional manner, confidence, and an outgoing personality. A willingness to carry out personal care, gastro feeding, and medication administration duties is essential. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
