Lead and grow a national technical service operation across commercial renewable-energy systems. This is not a domestic, retail or automotive aftersales role. It is a commercial and operational leadership position within a technically demanding, field-based engineering environment.
Myriad Products is a well-established renewable-energy business with more than 20 years’ experience installing and maintaining commercial solar PV, biomass and low-carbon heating systems across the UK. We are looking for a Commercial Service Manager to lead our growing service operation, develop our portfolio of long-term maintenance contracts and drive profitable growth across solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and biomass.
You do not necessarily need to come directly from renewable energy. You may have developed your experience in commercial HVAC, building services, technical facilities management, industrial heating, plant maintenance, energy services or another large-scale field-service engineering environment. What matters is that you understand how to lead a technical service operation, manage commercial contracts and build trusted relationships with commercial and industrial customers.
About You
You are a commercially minded service professional with experience in a technical, commercial or industrial environment. Your background is likely to include large-scale HVAC, building services, M&E, technical facilities management, industrial plant, energy services or renewable energy. You will be accustomed to supporting business-critical systems across commercial, industrial or large institutional facilities.
You will have:
- Experience in commercial or industrial technical services, rather than consumer or automotive aftersales
- A strong understanding of service contracts, recurring revenue, margin, renewals and customer retention
- Experience leading or coordinating engineers, technical teams, subcontractors or field-service operations
- Exposure to planned and reactive maintenance, scheduling, SLAs and service performance
- The credibility to work effectively with engineers, facilities teams and senior commercial customers
- The ambition to take broader ownership of a growing service business
Direct renewable-energy experience is advantageous but not essential. Experience in a comparable technical service environment, combined with a genuine desire to move into renewable energy, is equally relevant.
You Must Also
- Live within commutable distance of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire - or be willing to relocate
- Be comfortable working primarily from our Melton Mowbray office, with national travel as required
- Already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available for this position
Why Join Myriad Products?
- Real commercial ownership: Take responsibility for a P&L, lead an established team and work directly with the Managing Director from day one.
- A substantial opportunity already exists: Myriad has spent more than 20 years building its installed asset base. Your job is to convert that opportunity into lasting customer relationships and recurring service revenue.
- Stability in a growing sector: Join an established business operating in a market with significant long-term growth potential.
- The opportunity to shape the function: Develop the commercial service operation, influence its strategy and build the systems and capabilities needed for future growth.
- Clear scope to progress: As the service business grows, there is genuine potential to develop into a more senior leadership position.
- Room to make an impact: Myriad values ambition, commercial initiative and people who want to take meaningful ownership.
