A procurement role where your decisions genuinely shape the business. After more than 20 years at the forefront of renewable energy, Myriad is scaling its solar, battery storage, and low‑carbon technology operations. To support this growth, we’re looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager who wants real ownership, influence, and visibility — not a boxed‑in corporate procurement role.
This is an opportunity to take responsibility for the equipment, suppliers, and services that underpin Myriad’s renewable energy projects, and to help build the commercial backbone of a growing business.
THE ROLE
This is a hands‑on procurement and supply chain role with end‑to‑end responsibility. The role sits at the intersection of equipment supply, contractor capability, and operational delivery. You’ll be accountable for making sure the right materials and services are in place to support projects and ongoing operations.
The role includes responsibility for procuring renewable energy equipment such as solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, batteries, and associated components. It also includes procuring and managing the services of installation and M&E contractors.
You will build and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships, oversee stock control across warehouses, stores, and operational vans, and support project teams and a small group of service technicians by ensuring materials and services are available when needed.
You’ll work closely with Operations, Projects, Service & Maintenance, Stores, and Finance teams to control costs, improve availability, and support efficient delivery as the business grows. This is not a back‑office or transactional role. Your decisions will be visible and will directly affect performance.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
You’ll be joining a growing renewables business with an experienced, collaborative team. Rather than operating in a silo, you’ll have influence across the organisation — shaping supplier strategy, improving processes, and helping define how procurement supports Myriad’s next phase of growth.
There is genuine scope to take established foundations and evolve them with your own ideas, judgement, and experience. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and impact.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced procurement or supply chain professional, most likely from an M&E or construction background, with experience procuring both equipment and subcontracted services in project‑led environments. You’re comfortable working closely with operational teams and making commercial decisions that balance cost, quality, and availability.
Prior renewables experience is not essential — Myriad will support you in building that knowledge — but strong procurement fundamentals and sound commercial judgement are.
You are hands‑on and pragmatic, comfortable taking ownership and making decisions, commercially minded, and motivated by being close to the operation rather than buried in process. Procurement or supply chain qualifications such as CIPS are welcome but not essential.
You must have full, unrestricted right to work in the UK as Myriad does not hold a work permit sponsorship licence.
LOCATION
The role is based at Myriad’s Melton Mowbray office, with regular on‑site collaboration and flexibility for remote working where appropriate. Travel to suppliers or sites may be required from time to time.
