Myriad Products is a well-established renewable energyengineering company with over 20 years' experience delivering low-carbon energysystems. As the business grows, we are strengthening our finance team andlooking for a Finance Manager to work closely with our Financial Controller andtake responsibility for much of the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This could be an excellent next move for someone who hasbuilt a solid grounding in accounting and now wants broader exposure and moreresponsibility.

The Role

You will work directly with the Financial Controller, takingownership of day-to-day financial operations while supporting managementreporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial control across the business.

This is a genuinely hands-on role. You will be workingacross the full finance function rather than specialising in one narrow area,giving you exposure to how finance operates within a growing SME.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeingday-to-day accounts payable and receivable activity
• Bankreconciliations and general ledger postings
• Managingprepayments, accruals, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supportingthe preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assistingwith cash-flow reporting, forecasts and budgets
• Settingup and processing weekly and monthly payments
• SupportingVAT returns, CIS submissions and payroll
• Workingwith operational teams to manage and reconcile stock across systems
• Providingcover across the finance function where required
• Helpingimprove finance systems, controls and processes as the business develops

You will report to and work closely with the FinancialController, giving you direct exposure to the wider financial management of thebusiness.

About You

You are likely to be someone who has already developed agood grounding in accounting but wants the opportunity to broaden yourexperience and take on more responsibility.

You might currently be working as a:

• ManagementAccountant
• AssistantManagement Accountant

• SeniorFinance Assistant

The exact job title matters less than your ability andappetite to step up.

You will have:

• Experiencewith Sage 50 Accounts
• Strongpractical accounting knowledge
• Experiencewith reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
• GoodExcel skills and confidence working with finance systems
• Strongattention to detail and accuracy
• Theability to organise your own workload and manage multiple deadlines
• Apractical, hands-on approach
• Theconfidence to investigate problems and work things out rather than waitingto be shown every step

An AAT qualification, or progress towards ACCA or CIMA,would also be valuable, but practical ability and the desire to develop arejust as important.

Building Your Finance Career

This role is particularly well suited to someone who wantsto spend the next few years becoming a genuinely rounded finance professional.

Rather than being confined to one part of an accountingfunction, you will gain practical experience across management accounts, cashflow, forecasting, budgeting, balance-sheet control, payments, payroll, taxsubmissions, stock and operational finance.

You will work closely with an experienced FinancialController and senior people across the business, giving you a much broaderunderstanding of how finance supports a growing company.

For the right person, that should provide an excellentplatform for the next stage of a career in finance.

Location

This role is based full-time on site at Myriad Productsin Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire .

You should therefore already live within a reasonablecommuting distance or be willing to relocate.

You must also already have the unrestricted right to workin the UK . Myriad is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
