We are currently working with multiple reputable accountancy practices based in Central London and North London who are looking to hire fully qualified ACA or ACCA Audit Seniors with external audit experience only. This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior looking to progress their career within a growing and well-structured practice environment, offering exposure to a varied client portfolio and strong partner-level support.
The Role
- Leading statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Delivering audits on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Contributing to audit planning, execution, and reporting
- Exercising professional judgement on risk, controls, governance, and performance
- Supervising, delegating to, and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Providing on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working closely with managers and partners, with direct partner exposure
- Supporting business development and identifying opportunities within existing client relationships
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA fully qualified
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in UK external audit
- Experience gained within a medium-sized accountancy practice
- Proven track record of leading statutory audits end-to-end
- Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 102A (essential)
- Exposure to FRS 101 and IFRS (preferred)
- Experience with statutory accounts preparation; corporation tax exposure beneficial
- Experience with group audits / consolidations and knowledge of ISA 600 (preferred)
- Confident supervising, reviewing, and developing junior staff
- Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively
