IR35 (PAYE)

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Structural Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Fawley.

This role is full time on site so please only apply if you will be prepared to work on Fawley full time.

Role Purpose

To support the delivery of major brownfield oil & gas projects by producing and checking structural design deliverables, undertaking site surveys, and ensuring designs comply with client specifications, industry standards and safety requirements.

  • Job Role Responsibilities
  • Preparation and checking of structural design deliverables.
  • Preparation and review of Construction Workpacks.
  • Preparation and checking of Material Requisitions.
  • Conducting structural surveys, site sketches and survey reports.
  • Interpretation of client specifications, standards and scopes of work.
  • Preparation of structural estimates and Centre of Gravity (COG) calculations.
  • Participation in model reviews and technical presentations.
  • Undertaking offshore and onshore site visits as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Supporting project delivery teams to achieve quality, cost and schedule objectives.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

  • Significant experience working on brownfield oil & gas projects.
  • Working knowledge of PDMS.
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD 2D and 3D.
  • Experience using Navisworks.
  • Experience with welded and bolted connections.
  • Understanding of pipe supports, rigging design and installation practices.
  • Knowledge of LFM software.
  • Strong understanding of structural design safety principles and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, legislation and industry standards.
  • HNC in a relevant engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
