New Job Opportunity β Principal Telecoms Engineer β Initial 12 Month Outside IR35 Contract. Our Client has a requirement for a Principal Telecom Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Woking.
Location: Woking
Contract Length: Initially 12 Months
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Deliverables:
- Review / provide guidance for preparation of all discipline engineering and design deliverables such as Design Basis, specifications, datasheets, BOM, Equipment location Plan, JB and Cable schedule, 3D model, Block and Schematics drawings etc.
- Complete or review calculations for: CCTV, PAGA, Radio, Telephone lines etc.
- Provide guidance/work on field equipment (Cameras, Speaker, Call station, Tower, Turnstile, Road Barrier, Hotline and Analogue Telephone) etc.
- Prepare / provide guidance for preparation of Telecom Network Architecture (Overall Block Diagram, Interfaces etc) design, procurement and implementation.
- Review installation and location design requisitions for quotation and for purchase.
- Review vendor documents and quotations for compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in project design reviews.
- Prepare cost/manpower estimates, bid evaluations and project proposals.
- Perform inter-discipline squad checks (esp. Instrument, model, Electrical and Process safety).
- Shop inspections and Telecom System FAT/SAT.
- Site surveys.
- Perform technical audits and quality reviews.
- Site pre-commissioning activities and engineering support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or masterβs degree in ECE.
- Basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry.
- Experience in Engineering office of Reputed Consulting Engineering Companies preferably in the field of Refinery, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas will be preferred.
- International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices that apply to Telecommunication.
- Quality management system and procedures.
- Project management and control procedures.
- Telecommunication workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination.
- Project Deliverables.
- Project Risk Assessment.
- Adherence to HSE norms.
- Proficiency in understanding of Telecom Network & Architecture.
- 3D model review.
- 2D AutoCAD software, any Vendor specific software like CCTV, PAGA Coverage study, RF Tools etc.
