Position: Telecoms Consultant
Location: Leatherhead – 5 days in the office
Rate: Outside IR35 DOE
Duration: 6 months
Project: Major Middle East Oil & Gas Development
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex telecommunications systems for a major onshore oil and gas project. The role involves developing technical specifications, preparing documentation, and performing evaluations for a range of telecom systems.
Key Systems
LAN/WAN networks
Fibre optic cable systems
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Public Address General Alarm (PAGA) systems
PABX and hotline systems
Wireless, microwave, and TMR radio systems
Perimeter/fence intrusion detection systems
Key Responsibilities
Ensure safety, reliability, and quality standards are met across all telecom systems.
Produce block diagrams, schematic diagrams, cable schedules, datasheets, interconnection/wiring diagrams, cabinet general arrangement drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and layout drawings.
Prepare clear and concise technical reports, drawings, and schedules for onshore oil and gas installations.
Requirements
Proven track record in greenfield and brownfield telecoms projects within the oil and gas industry.
Hands-on experience with telecom systems engineering for onshore installations.
Familiarity with Middle East oil and gas projects is essential.
Previous experience working on large-scale international projects preferred.
