We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or aftermarket sector to take ownership of customer relationships, drive business growth, and develop new commercial opportunities across the UK.

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for managing and developing existing client accounts while also identifying and securing new business opportunities. The role is primarily home-based with regular UK travel to customer sites and occasional visits to the company’s office in Hemel Hempstead.

  • Building strong partnerships with clients within engineering and manufacturing sectors
  • Understanding customer requirements and providing suitable technical/commercial solutions
  • Delivering excellent account management and customer service
  • Working closely with internal teams to support customer projects and sales activity
  • Supporting overall business growth and sales strategy

Experience required:

  • Experience within the engineering, manufacturing, or aftermarket sector
  • A Mechanical Engineering qualification, degree, or equivalent industry experience
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage UK-wide customer accounts and travel when required

Salary of £40,000–£45,000 depending on experience, bonus and benefits package, company car, hybrid and flexible working environment, and opportunity to join a growing and successful business with long-term career development prospects.
