We're looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our client on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional with strong Microsoft 365 experience to support users across desktop, laptop and cloud technologies.

Working as part of a busy IT team, you'll provide 1st and 2nd line support, with occasional involvement in 3rd line issues, resolving technical incidents, supporting device deployments, and assisting with the ongoing administration of Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end users with occasional involvement in 3rd line issues.
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 hardware and software issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Manage users, groups and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Configure and support laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
  • Perform hardware builds, deployments and device replacements.
  • Support printers, peripherals and meeting room technology.
  • Manage tickets through the IT Service Management system, ensuring SLA targets are met.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and project teams to deliver IT improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven commercial experience in a Desktop Support or IT Support role.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration and user support experience.
  • Windows 10/11 support expertise.
  • Experience with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Active Directory user administration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and device management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
Desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Autopilot.
  • Knowledge of SCCM or Endpoint Manager.
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
What's on Offer
