Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in data science.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop data scientists, guiding teams to deliver high‑quality, impactful work.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with end users, peers, and senior leaders.
  • Fluency in data science techniques across statistics, machine learning, and GenAI.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to build reliable, scalable solutions.
  • Experience working in cloud environments on Linux and/or Windows platforms; Azure experience is a plus.
  • A strong track record of delivering the full lifecycle of data science products and projects.
  • Experience working within regulated utility environments.
  • Experimental design experience and a hypothesis‑driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with interactive visualisation tools; Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GIS tools such as ArcGIS.
  • Desirable: exposure to highly regulated sectors such as utilities, power, energy, electricity, water, gas, nuclear, financial services, or telecoms.
