£25,000 – £60,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits | Fully Remote

(Multiple levels/roles available - salary depending on experience)

We’re working with an established and growing General Insurance business that is looking to appoint a Technical Claims Handler to join its team on a fully remote basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional with a background in Motor and/or Home Insurance who is looking to take on a more technical role, dealing with complex claims and having greater ownership over decisions and outcomes.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of technically complex claims from initial notification through to resolution, using your experience and technical knowledge to assess coverage, liability and indemnity and determine the appropriate course of action.

You’ll deal with a range of stakeholders including customers, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and other third parties, ensuring claims are handled fairly, efficiently and in line with policy terms and regulatory requirements.

The role will include:

  • Managing Motor and Home claims.
  • Reviewing policy wordings and assessing coverage, liability and indemnity.
  • Investigating claims and reviewing supporting evidence.
  • Making technically sound decisions on settlement and claims strategy.
  • Negotiating with customers and third parties where required.
  • Identifying potential fraud, exaggeration or inconsistencies.
  • Managing disputed and escalated claims.
  • Supporting colleagues with technical claims queries.
  • Ensuring FCA, regulatory and internal requirements are consistently met.
  • Maintaining accurate claims records and documentation.

About You

We’re looking for someone with General Insurance claims experience who is comfortable dealing with technically challenging cases and making decisions independently.

You’ll ideally have experience across Motor or Home claims, although broader General Insurance experience will also be considered.

You’ll need to be confident interpreting policy wordings, investigating claims, assessing liability and negotiating appropriate settlements. Just as importantly, you’ll be commercially minded, customer-focused and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment.

CII / ACII qualifications or progress towards them would be advantageous.

What's In It For You?

  • £25,000 – £60,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Annual bonus
  • 100% remote working
  • Excellent benefits package
  • Generous annual leave
  • Pension
  • Life assurance
  • Professional development and training
  • Support towards relevant insurance qualifications
  • Genuine long-term career progression
  • The opportunity to join a growing insurance business where your technical expertise will be valued

If you're an experienced Technical Claims Handler looking for a genuinely flexible, fully remote opportunity with a strong salary and excellent benefits, we'd love to hear from you.
