Term-time only plus 5 training days

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant who is seeking a new challenge. The successful candidate will join our SEND Unit as a Senior Achievement Support Assistant, supporting Key Stage 2 pupils with additional needs, particularly those with significant social communication differences, including autism, and children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This role will contribute to expanding the local support and provision available to children with significant and complex SEND needs.

The role will involve supporting the teacher in delivering bespoke programmes of learning and tailored support for pupils. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with parents, colleagues and external agencies to ensure that every child receives high-quality provision and is supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an excellent Achievement Support Assistant with a proven track record of working within a specialist setting.
• Has high aspirations and ambition for every child, supporting them to achieve strong outcomes and develop personally.
• Has effective communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and external agencies.
• Is empathetic and understands the challenges that some children and families may face.
• Has a good understanding of restorative practice and can apply its principles effectively
