Deputy Headteacher in Portsmouth

To support the Headteacher in providing strategic and operational leadership for the school, ensuring the highest quality of education, outstanding standards of teaching and learning and positive outcomes for all pupils. The Deputy Headteacher will play a key role in driving school improvement, leading the day-to-day operation of the school and fostering a culture of high expectations, inclusion, safeguarding, personal development and continuous professional growth.

The Deputy Headteacher will deputise for the Headteacher in their absence and work collaboratively with staff, governors, trust leaders, parents and external agencies to secure excellence across all aspects of school life.

Aligned with the culture, values and strategic ambitions of the Trust, you will provide childcentred leadership, deliver an ambitious and engaging curriculum and lead the development of the Academy’s Journey to Excellence Plan. Working collaboratively with pupils, families, governors, Trust colleagues, the University and wider community partners, you will act as a visible role model and advocate for the academy and the wider Trust, contributing to system leadership and helping to realise our shared vision: "For all young people to be inspired by an excellent education that raises their aspirations and enriches their lives."
