We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated pre-school practitioner with a focus on achieving excellence. You will work within a team undertaking responsibilities as stated under the direction of the Pre-School Manager, to provide safe, outstanding quality education and care for young children.

- Assist with providing an outstanding quality of teaching and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidelines.

- To show a positive commitment to working as part of a strong team with a focus on achieving excellence but with a high value on staff morale and wellbeing
- Show versatility and a positive ability to adapt to change
- Take part in forest school activities and daily all-weather outdoor learning
- Assist with drawing up curriculum plans and focus activities with exciting play experiences and plan activities to support the recognised needs of children.
- Help set up the Pre-School for the daily programme and help tidy away at the end of the session checking equipment for cleanliness and breakages.
- Ensure time is used effectively to be an outstanding practitioner at all times
- To support the key person system, liaising with parents/carers as appropriate, encouraging parent/carers involvement, and with support from practitioners, ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
- To take part in parent consultation meetings as appropriate and to provide an individual progress report and documentation for each key person child when required and with support if necessary.
- Record observations of children, collect evidence for children’s individual progress.
- Positively participate as part of a team to support and moderate data tracking for individual and groups of children and to actively participate in moderation meetings and pupil progress reviews on a frequent basis
- Maintain the safe environment in Pre-School: ensure equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high and safety procedures are implemented at all times.
