We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Catering Lead who is passionate about exceptional food and exceptional customer service, to support the day-to-day oversight and running of the catering service at Beacon Academy in Cleethorpes.
As a Deputy Catering Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of truly incredible food service. You will have the hands-on culinary skills to prepare and cook high-quality meals for our daily menus, while working alongside the team across all kitchen duties. You will support the Catering Lead in ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety, maintaining high-standard cleaning regimes, and ensuring stock is stored, rotated, and managed securely. You will also assist in monitoring food production, portion control, and waste reduction to maintain cost efficiency.
Deputising for the Catering Lead in their absence, you will act as a positive role model to members of the catering team, offering guidance and support, promoting teamwork, and encouraging continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will need a varied background in catering, with experience in an education setting being advantageous. We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and responsive to the needs of our learners and team. You will hold a minimum of Food Safety Level 2 and be comfortable using digital systems (or willing to undertake necessary training).
