About the role

We are looking for a reliable Casual Lettings Officer to support the safe, secure and smooth running of lettings across our academy sites.

You will be responsible for preparing facilities for hirers, welcoming and supporting users, monitoring the appropriate use of Trust premises and responding to any issues that arise during bookings. You will also ensure facilities are left clean, tidy and secure at the end of each letting and ready for normal academy use.

This is a hands-on role, primarily working during evenings and weekends, and would suit someone who is organised, responsible and confident dealing with a range of people. You will play an important part in ensuring our academies remain safe, welcoming and well managed for everyone using our facilities.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible and approachable, with a strong focus on providing a safe and welcoming environment for our hirers and visitors.

You will need to be confident working independently, particularly during evenings and weekends, and able to respond calmly and appropriately to any issues that arise. Good communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will be a key point of contact for hirers while they are on site.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is organised, punctual and able to prepare and secure facilities effectively.
  • Has a professional, friendly and helpful approach when dealing with hirers, visitors and Trust staff.
  • Can work independently and use initiative when dealing with minor issues.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding, security, health and safety and following procedures.
  • Is confident carrying out regular site checks and monitoring the appropriate use of facilities.
  • Is willing to undertake practical tasks such as moving furniture, litter picking and minor cleaning when required.
  • Can respond calmly to emergencies and escalte concerns appropriately.
  • Has good attention to detail and takes pride in keeping facilities clean, tidy and secure.
  • Is flexible and able to work evenings and weekends according to lettings requirements.
  • Is willing to complete relevant Trust training and follow all site procedures and instructions.

Previous experience in lettings, facilities, site management, customer service or a similar role would be helpful, but reliability, a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility are equally important.
