Pathways School is a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health school from Years 1 to 11. Pupils receive a sector leading education with access to the full national curriculum made accessible through the delivery of specialist adaptations. If you have an interest in learning how to lead and deliver an adapted and inclusive physical education and sports programme for pupils with SEMH needs., then we’d be interested in your application.
This role is based at Pathways School, New Road, Dagenham, RM9 6PH.
The assistant headteacher, under the direction of the headteacher/Deputy Headteacher, will take a role in:

Formulating the aims and objectives of the school

Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives

Managing staff and resources to that end

Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives
The assistant headteacher will also have a timetabled teaching commitment as required complying with the teachers’ standards and modelling best practice for others.
They may also be required to undertake any of the duties delegated from the headteacher.
The ideal candidate will have successful experience of senior leadership in either a special or mainstream education setting, as we are just as keen to encourage applications from candidates with a relevant mainstream background as those with special school experience
