The role
Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Information Management Department as a PNC / LEDS Support Officer. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of critical policing data by updating the Police National Computer (PNC) and other internal electronic systems. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the force and build effective relationships with partner agencies, ensuring that information is shared efficiently and in line with established procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will support operational policing and help deliver a seamless service. You will also administer a range of essential processes, including force-wide DVLA liaison and enquiries, the circulation and monitoring of all warrant types, and the management of HM Courts results and queries. Acting as a central point of contact for general enquiries, you will ensure that requests are handled promptly and professionally, contributing to the smooth running of daily operations and supporting wider organisational objectives.
What you’ll do
- Maintain and update local and national systems accurately and promptly, ensuring data integrity while working collaboratively with stakeholders and complying with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Process and assess requests in line with relevant legislation and national guidelines, confidently challenging any that fall outside required standards.
- Create, manage, and audit warrant records across systems, proactively gathering additional information and liaising with agencies to support effective offender management.
- Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with colleagues and partner organisations to resolve issues and support effective operational policing.
- Conduct detailed research to resolve PNC record issues, including duplicates and incomplete data, working closely with departments such as Fingerprint Bureau, ACRO, and Disclosure.

These are permanent roles subject to a six-month probationary period.
